Installing

Q: I’ve downloaded the product, now what do I do?
A: Go to the directory where you’ve downloaded our product and run the downloaded file. For example, the download WebImage v2 file is WI32_211.EXE. Run that file and it will automatically start the install process for you. Just follow the steps of the install process.

Q: During the install, it prompts to register image types, should I?
A: It’s up to you. In doing so, you’re telling Windows to launch WebImage by default for the defined image types. This means, if you double click a BMP file in Explorer, it will start up and load it into WebImage. However, this does not preclude it from loading into any other product. If you prefer to have your images load into another image product, do not select this option.

Registering and Upgrades

Q: How do I register a copy of WebImage or I Spy?
A: First, email or mail an order form to us, or utilize our secured on-line order system. We will give you a registration key that "unlocks" the product. Once you have the key, run the program and either press the Register button from the splash screen or select Register Application from the Help menu. This will bring up a dialog with two fields. Enter the Registered Name in the first field exactly as you spelled it to us. (Case, spacing and punctuation are important.) Next enter the Registration Key in the second field. Remember, the key has no spaces and all letters are lower case. Press Ok and you are ready to go. WebImage v2 and I Spy v2 will give you feedback telling you if you entered the correct code. WebImage 1.72 will simply accept the code if it is correct. Additionally, if you have ordered the v2 bundle, you need only enter the code in one application, as the other will seek the key out and register itself.

Q: Do I have to pay for WebImage all over again even though I just bought my copy of 1.72?
A: If you have already purchased a key for 1.72, both WebImage v2 and I Spy v2 will search out the 1.72 key and will use it to unlock themselves automatically. You don't even need to contact us to get a new key!

Q: I’m upgrading from Windows 3.1 to Win95 and would like to upgrade my WebImage, do I need a new key?
A: Yes you do, email or call us for a key. The upgrade is free.

Q: I have a copy of WebImage v1.72 from Andover’s WebG product bundle, can I get a free upgrade to v2.11?
A: No, however, you can upgrade to v2.11 for a reduced price of $29.95, just provide your WebG serial number when ordering.

Q: I have a copy of WebImage v1.71 that came on disk, what is my upgrade cost?
A: The upgrade is free, however, you’ll need to provide us your order information so we can generate a registration key for you.

Q: Why does the program keep telling me my registration is invalid even though I entered the Registration Key just like you told me?
A: There are a couple possible problems. The first is that either the Name or Key you are entering is incorrect. The Name needs to be entered exactly as you spelled it to us, with exactly the same case, spaces and punctuation. Additionally, the key needs to be all lower case and exactly six characters with no spaces. If you've double checked and it still doesn't work then it's possible you have the wrong type of key. You'll need to contact us to determine which key you have, which key you need and how, exactly, you are entering the information.

Q: I’ve seen keys for your product circulating via various Internet channels, are they valid?
A: They may be, but please don’t perpetuate software theft. If you think it’s OK to illegally copy our software, please take a week and come work for us for free…we’ll call it even.

Uninstalling

Q: How can I get uninstall your program?
A: WebImage & I Spy v2 are extremely simple to uninstall. They will both removes themselves completely, including cleaning up the registry and the task bar. However, DO NOT just delete the directory where they’re located, run through the unistall process to ensure a complete removal of all items.
